Weepy Week

The last stretch of my History was hectic.
I guess I was more wound up than I thought.

I watched a movie and wept and wept.
"Deep in my Heart" 1999

Then I read these stories that had me weeping again.

I was just tearful...
Lots to think about - again.

“Tears bring cleansing as if the emotional wound was being physically washed.” – Leslie Hands

“Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears on occasion, so that we can see Life with a clearer view.” - Alex Tan

I feel better today.

Movie "We Bought a Zoo"

We watched this this evening -
It was worth watching!
Highly recommended!

Some quotes I wrote down:

"The secret to talking is listening."
"I'm your fan, man..."
"All you need is 20 seconds of courage."

Movie - Freedom Writers

Image result for Freedom Writers

Vi and I sat and watched this movie this afternoon.

Set in Los Angeles 1992 - 1995 after the racial riots.
A new teacher is faced with a class of racially divided students who have no incentive to learn and look forward to a life of any significance unless they die in a violent confrontation.

She helps them find a purpose for living and learning despite opposition from them and some of her peers.

Well worth watching for most of it!
I was sorry she and her husband didn't live a marriage centred life...
