Sunday evening we gathered to celebrate.
Glenn is 67, I am 71, and we have been married 46 years.

Here are Jarom, Cabryn, Cindy and Ron.
Dom was busy with some compassionate service - we missed him.

And here are Vi, Nadia, Daena, Doug with Scarlett,
Ethan and Glenn.

We enjoyed our supper together!

We are having simply glorious weather at the moment.
We will thoroughly enjoy it for as long as it lasts...

Misfortune - Fortune

Doug came over Saturday the morning "We had a misfortune...
The freezer was left open overnight and now we have five kg meat to cook.
Come over this evening for a potjie supper."
I gave him some veg to add to the potjie.

In the afternoon I made brownies.

A pool full of happy people enjoying themselves outside...

That's Richard at the deep end pulling Daena.
Sally, Rohan, Colleen, Amy, Jesse and baby Kelly at the shallow end.

A lovely shaft of sunlight in the late afternoon sky - from Doug's lapa.

Doug announced "Thanks for coming.
We turned our misfortune of last night into a fortune for all of us this evening."
There were 27 of us all together.

Easter Monday

It's been a busy Easter Weekend with General Conference,
so we organised our Easter egg hunt for Monday.

Great fun!

Eggs hidden by Glenn and me in some obscure and unusual places.

Vi sits and observes and ponders...

Here we all are.
I was so short-notice that Dom and Cindy couldn't join us.
They joined us for supper instead.

And on with the patio project...

Then off for tea at Ramkietjie.
I love the sound of the water and the peacefulness of the place.

A good and busy Monday.
