Magenta Love Potatoes

I bought some purple potatoes... they were on special.
I thought "Why not?"
Magenta Love cultivar.
Strange eating purple potatoes!
Texture is the same, taste a little sweet?

I might buy them again...
If opportunity presents itself...

The New Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital Progress.

Every week a little more progress.
And then they take the fence down, or paint, or something else dramatic
and it looks like a LOT of progress,
but the progress is happening all the time in reality.

"And Here is the News..."

SABC 3

We have watched SABC channel 3 news 7- 7:30pm for many years.

The station decided to change and do a one hour news - from 6:30 - 7:30...
That didn't suit us so we switched to etv channel news 7 - 7:30 - we were
happy watchers after getting used to the different style of news coverage.

Dismay a couple of weeks/months ago!  etv news moved to 8:30!
That doesn't suit us at all!

We took another look at SABC 3 news to discover they
now do a normal tv news from 6:30 - 7pm, and then switch to a
DSTV channel for the next half hour of news.

Promising we thought...
Could we re-arrange our supper time to 6pm, or 7pm -
before or after the news?
Or do we just give up and dispense with watching the news?

At last we sorted out our dilemma -
We record the 6:30 to 7 news on SABC3 and watch it at 7pm - the time that suits us!
Relief... We slip back into our new comfort zone of finding out a little of what
is going on in the world.

Enough change, and news, is enough... and truly, too much is too much!

Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital

The Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital construction grows week by week.

This is the view of the building as you drive out of the Temple basement parking.

Perhaps the entrance will be right opposite the basement entrance?

Curious Grape

Now this is the most curious grape I have seen...
It looks like three grapes grew as one.
