We watched this this evening -
It was worth watching!
Highly recommended!
Some quotes I wrote down:
"The secret to talking is listening."
"I'm your fan, man..."
"All you need is 20 seconds of courage."

Breakfast on Human Rights Day
We haven't been to Spur at Constantia Park for years.
They made all the window seats smokers only.
I forthwith boycotted them.
Doug and Family invited us to go there a while ago,
they have changed things...
They have built a new deck outside...
We went there on Human Rights Day.
My view from our seat on the deck.
Very lovely!
Good breakfast!
Gorgeous seating!
Lovely to hear the water falling underneath is as it flows downstream.

Patio Project - One Thing Leads to Another...
Now that the sliding door is in...
The step from the laundry area to the first step outside is hazardous
unless you are really steady on your feet -
Which Vi is not, and also some of our other visitors...
Glenn building another step...
He couldn't find the same as the other steps,
but he found a similar enough pattern
and adapted it, and added it in.
I painted the whole steps this morning.
Now it is much easier to step across and then down the steps.

Wall Restored
The wall on the side of the garage
secured so it won't fall over again...
The five rows of bricks built up again.
Security more secure again!

Gustav Preller Primary School
Doug, Nadia and family were away last week...
Doug phoned and asked me to collect Daena and Cabryn's reports from school.
Dis 'n feel om 'n Gusie te wees!
A good reminder for all of us!

Patio Project - Sliding Door
The missionaries who live next door (back) came over last week,
before the roof project,
and helped Glenn lift the new door in place...
The new sliding door is lovely!

Botanical Gardens after Torrential Rain!
Last Tuesday...
The sky so clear!
The guineafowl so content!
The trees so yellowing!
Tai Chi-ers so happy!
The waterfall so gushing!
The flowing water so clear!
The new footbridge to the waterfall so coming along!
So many children in the Gardens that day!
The 'hat-parade' always so interesting!
I just clicked this unobtrusively...
How do you take photos and not disturb...?
The grass so long!
So many weeds!
The flowers so cheerful!
More of the so-long grass...
The sleeper footbridge being repaired...
Taking so long!
The trees so un-dusty after all the rain!
So many cars there that day!

Relief Society P.U.S.H. Airlines
Our 'Captain and Crew...'
We had a lovely 'flight' together
to Visiting Teaching City
last Saturday morning.
Since our enormous Ward is to be divided "in the next few weeks"
this may be our last Enrichment meeting together.
I thoroughly enjoy our Sisterhood!
I am sure I will miss those that become the "other Ward."
I'm sorry I didn't take more photos!
When I know how to download from my phone
I will add the pictures shared on our Relief Society Whatsapp group.

Patio... VERY Big Job Done Today!
This morning Glenn Sylvester and Ishmael started at 6:30am.
Clear sky after a week of rain imminent every day!
They had to work out a system, then they were on their way!
Take the laminated glass roofing off,
put insulation in,
Haul up the IBR sheets and affix.
The South side of the roof...
I noticed these little 'mushrooms' growing in the grass after all the rain.
Insulation going in...
IBR sheeting going up and being screwed down.
And the North side of the enclosed patio being roofed.
Two lengths short on the South Side...
But the roof is waterproof in the meantime.
Glenn will get two sheets next week and
replace the one temporary length and finish the job.
Job finished just after one pm!
Great Relief!
The end is in sight!
