Durban Temple - Before Week One

Late afternoon on the day we arrived
Elder and Sister Wood of the Durban Mission drove us out to the Temple site.
It was locked up.  We could see this equipment from the road level.

The next day - Wednesday, we went to the site.
They were off-loading earth-moving equipment.

Off-loading the earth-moving truck.

In the area below us, a grader was shifting earth.

Up the hill the relay was on between the
front-end-loader (I think it is called) and two trucks
taking the load away.

I love watching people who are skillful in what they do!
I love seeing they have found ways to communicate with each other.

A view over to the housing estate.

The rhythm of work was satisfying to watch.

Work came abruptly to a halt on Friday when a branch snagged the hose and
hydraulic fluid squirted out of the broken hose.

The hand-over of the site was Monday 4th July,
so this was the week before week one.
